Dr. Danielle Abdon

Danielle Abdon earned her PhD in Art History from Temple University (2020). She specializes in Renaissance architecture on the Italian and Iberian Peninsulas, as well as exchanges between Europe and the New World. Her research focuses on fifteenth- and sixteenth-century hospitals in Italy, Iberia, and the Americas, specifically how contemporary ideas of poor relief and public and environmental health promoted architectural and infrastructural innovations in hospital buildings.
