Ashley Bruckbauer is a specialist in European visual culture from 1600 to 1900, with a particular focus on objects related to cross-cultural exchanges. She received her Ph.D. in Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019. A dedicated educator, she has taught in the Department of Art History at UNC-Chapel Hill and developed educational programs and resources for diverse audiences at the Ackland Art Museum, Dallas Museum of Art, and National Gallery of Art in D.C.
