Dr. Umberto Bongianino
Umberto Bongianino is departmental lecturer of Islamic Art and Architecture at the University of Oxford. He received his B.A. and M.A. in Arts, Markets, and Cultural Management from IULM University and his M.Phil in Islamic Art and Archaeology and D.Phil in Oriental Studies from the University of Oxford. His research interests include the architecture and material culture of the Islamic dynasties that ruled across the medieval Mediterranean between the 7th and the 13th centuries.
