Jihyun Son
Jihyun Son is a PhD candidate at SOAS, University of London. Her working doctoral thesis researches the visual representations of the Korean nation-state from the 1880s to the 1910s. She deals with visual imagery that include the Korean flag, imperial emblem, royal portraits, illustrations of historical figures, the map of the Korean Peninsula, and symbolic landscapes of Korea.
