Monica Bulger is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Art History and Archaeology at Columbia University. Her dissertation explores uses of frontality in Archaic Greek art. She earned her B.A. (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from New York University in 2015, majoring in Art History and Classics. She has excavated in Cyprus and Greece.
From 600 to 480 B.C.E., ancient Greek cemeteries and sanctuaries were filled with marble statues of beautiful young men and women.
