Remedios Varo, Tailleur pour dames

Although she was originally from Spain, it was in Mexico that artist Remedios Varo became one of the most important surrealists of the 20th century. Inspired by Renaissance panel painting and the works of Hieronymus Bosch in particular, Varo developed a meticulous process and unique style: bringing complex, supernatural scenes to life with the hand of a miniaturist.
