Dr. Bryan Keene

Dr. Bryan C. Keene (he/él/they/elle) specializes in medieval and early modern manuscript illumination, with a particular focus on Italy. His research addresses transregional movement of objects and ideas, as well as the fields of “global” art history and queer premodern visual culture. He teaches at Riverside City College in California and was previously a curator and educator at the Getty Museum.
