Graduate students needed for Smarthistory “refresh” project

Thanks to a generous grant from the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, Smarthistory is seeking two graduate students in art history or a related field to help us with a website “refresh” during summer 2018. There are two primary tasks we need help with: writing brief excerpts and creating thumbnails for Smarthistory’s 1800~ pages. Additional work, including writing titles and proofreading will be required. Strong writing skills and experience with WordPress or a similar content management system are required.

These two grant-funded positions are temporary and part-time. The graduate students filling these positions will work as independent contractors and will be paid at a rate of $40 per hour. Hours are flexible, and the work will be done remotely. We expect the work to take approximately 200 hours (for each position) during July and August 2018.

Please submit a brief letter of interest outlining your relevant experience and a current C.V. using the form below.

Deadline for applications: Friday, June 15th
