Huastec civilization

Style and culture of a group of Indigenous people of Mexico centered on the Gulf Coast and known for their figural sculpture, pottery, and shell ornaments. Surviving remains from the Huastec civilization include several large archaeological sites, a well-preserved temple, and a large amount of stone sculpture. Huastec people today live in the La Huasteca region of Mexico.
