Song dynasty
Refers to a Chinese dynastic culture, style, and period dating to 960 to 1279 C.E. known for highly refined ceramic production, technically difficult glazing, scholar gardens, and the development of esoteric Buddhism, Ch’an, and Pure Land and sparked the creation of monumental rock carvings at locations such as at Mt. Baoding, Dazu, Sichuan province.
