Timurid
The Timurid period saw great achievements in other luxury arts, such as metalwork and jade carving. The most characteristic feature of Timurid imperial buildings is their massive scale, emphasized by huge entrance portals, multiple, thick minarets covered in tile decoration, and large bulbous double domes. Some Timurid rulers were also great patrons of the arts of the book, commissioning manuscripts that were copied, compiled, and illustrated in their libraries.
