Van Gogh

Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch painter known as one of the leading figures in Post-Impressionism. He is best known for the works he completed during the last two years of his life in the south of France, where he committed suicide at the age of 37. His paintings are characterized especially by bold colors and expressive brushwork, as well as the influence of non-Western (particularly Japanese) art.
