Dr. Debora Trein
Debora Trein is a Lecturer in Anthropology at the Department of Anthropology at the University of Washington in Seattle. She specializes in Maya archaeology, and has worked in archaeological excavations in Belize, Guatemala, Mexico, USA, and UK. Her current research area is at the ancient Maya site of La Milpa, in northwest Belize, where she studies the nature of interactions between the La Milpa community and its monumental architecture between 600 - 900 AD. She has also conducted research in cultural heritage management and protection, with a particular focus on Belize.
