Dr. Betty Hensellek

Betty Hensellek is an art historian and archaeologist of Iran, Central Asia, and the Steppe. Her current research projects investigate cosmopolitanism in the age of the Great Silk Roads (first millennium CE). She received her Ph.D. in the History of Art from Cornell University, and her research has been funded by Cornell University, the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
