Dr. Elizabeth Otto
Elizabeth Otto is Associate Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art History and Executive Director of the Humanities Institute at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her research, teaching, and curating center on early-twentieth- century experimental art in Europe with a special focus on gender and the art of the Weimar Republic, the Bauhaus, and National Socialism (Nazism). She is the author of many scholarly articles and the book Tempo, Tempo! The Bauhaus Photomontages of Marianne Brandt and has co-edited The New Woman International: Representations in Photography and Film (with Vanessa Rocco) and Passages of Exile (with Burcu Dogramaci). Dr. Otto received her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
