Dr. Jenny Newell
Dr. Jenny Newell is co-manager of the Pacific Collection at the Australian Museum. She received her Ph.D. in Pacific environmental history from the Australian National University. Her research focuses on experiences and action on climate change in the Pacific. She works in collaboration with colleagues across the region. Before the Australian Museum she worked in the American Museum of Natural History, National Museum of Australia and the British Museum. Jenny co-edited Curating the Future: Museums, Communities and Climate Change, with Kirsten Wehner and Libby Robin. Her other books are Trading Nature: Tahitians, Europeans and Ecological Exchange and Pacific Art in Detail.
