Nicolette Trahoulia earned a B.A. in art history from UCLA and a Ph.D. from Harvard University. She has taught art history at Portland State University in Oregon and currently teaches in Athens at Deree – The American College of Greece, where she directs the art history program. She has published on Byzantine manuscripts, icons, and other portable objects.
