In 2011, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City completed a decade-long project to reinstall the museum’s permanent collection of Islamic art. Curators Sheila Canby and Navina Haidar explain the vision for the “Galleries for the Art of the Arab Lands, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, and Later South Asia.”
