During his residency at the V&A between October 2016 and January 2017, Jameel Prize Resident Artist Noor Ali Chagani researched the Museum’s collections of Mughal miniature paintings, jewellery and armour to create a new body of work using traditional brickmaking techniques. This resulted in a new body of work entitled The Weight I Carry, which comments on the responsibility that men in his native Pakistan are born with to build a home for their family. In partnership with Art Jameel and in collaboration with The Mosaic Rooms.
